Trojan Club Committee's


We would like everyone to be involved in the SJHS Trojan Club.  It takes more than just the 5 Officers, Coaches, Administration, Teachers, and Athletic Director to make the Athletic Department at SJHS a success.  We would like community involvement.

Below are the committee's we currently have within the SJHS Trojan Club.  Please read each one and then click on the link to sign-up for the committee you would love to be a part of.

  1. The Fundraising Committee (Bingo, Golf, Reverse Drawing) shall consist of the Fundraising Coordinator and Vice-President.  The duties shall be to make recommendations and reports concerning fundraising activities at the regular business meetings.  Appointed members to each committee shall serve for one year, with replacement appointed by the Vice-President or Fundraising Coordinator.  The Committee shall solicit involvement from the Trojan Club membership as it deems necessary to carry out its functions.
  2. The Concession Stand Committee (Fall, Winter, Spring) shall consist of the Treasurer and the chairperson(s) appointed by the Treasurer.  Chairpersons may be elected annually.  The primary duty of the committee is to provide leadership involvement at all Trojan-Club sponsored concession stands for the school’s home athletic events.  Other duties are the following:  providing concession stands at Trojan Club-sponsored special activities, as needed; community events where a concession stand can be used, such as town recreation spring and summer baseball program, and cleaning of the concession stand area used.  The members of this committee shall serve for one year, with any replacements appointed by the chairperson(s) or Treasurer.  The committee shall solicit involvement from the Trojan Club membership as it deems necessary to carry out its duties.

  3. The Nominating Committee shall consist of the Trojan Club’s Past President and four (4) members appointed by the President, and serve for the ensuing year.  The duties shall be to provide names from the Trojan Club’s membership for officers for the following Trojan Club year.  Committee members shall be appointed three (3) months prior to the annual meeting.  With any replacement appointed by the President.  The Committee shall present the new slate of officers at the April meeting and this slate shall be voted on at the May Meeting.
  4. The Historian Committee shall consist of the Trojan Club’s President, Secretary, the Athletic Director and other members appointed by the President, and serve for the ensuing year.  The duties shall include maintain a record of all activities and public recognition of the athletics program’s accomplishments through the collection of photographs, newspaper articles, etc.  The Committee will also maintain the Trojan Club’s website and Social Media.  As deemed by the President, historical records shall be maintained in such a manner that they may be easily retrieved.
